If you’re a real spa party animal, consider our ten foot barrel sauna, seating six to eight people and costing £8,995.00.

Delivery and installation included

All prices include delivery and installation but exclude the electrical hook-up you’ll need to power your barrel saunas – this should be put in place before delivery. Make Room Outside can arrange the installation of an appropriate hook-up for an outdoor sauna – please ask us for a price on this as it will be dependent upon the location of power at each location.

Made from sustainable materials

Our high-quality barrel saunas are hand-crafted from sustainable materials in the shape of thermowood, treated using a natural combination of heat and steam to modify the wood structure and increase durability and stability, with no added chemicals.

Energy efficient electric heaters

Our traditional saunas are powered by electric heaters, not wood-burning stoves! The sauna heater is a wall-mounted unit with ventilation ducts to assist with even heat distribution. These electric heaters are energy-efficient and fast-acting and also have the option of wi-fi control, allowing you to switch on the unit remotely so your outdoor sauna is steaming and ready for you to use when you get home without having to wait!

Your outdoor barrel sauna will be delivered ready to go complete with an electric heater and with no hidden extras - you’ll also get 60kg of sauna stones, ambient LED lighting and bronze tempered glass to create the perfect sauna atmosphere.

Is planning permission required?

In most instances for barrel saunas, no. In England, the construction of outbuildings is mostly covered by ‘permitted development’ rights, which means for a project of this size, planning permission should not be necessary.

However, there will be exceptions to this, and local planning authority regulations will differ. It is always advisable to check with your local planning authority to ensure your development meets all the necessary criteria and you are free to enjoy the benefits of your outdoor garden sauna.

We can chat through your options and generate an accurate quote. You will probably just require a sensible level of hard standing for wooden saunas, similar to that required for a garden shed.

We have a short lead time of just four weeks for Finish barrel saunas, and we can deliver and install, or you can opt to collect, build and install yourself. Barrel saunas start at a weight of around 500kg.

Make an appointment in advance and we’ll power up a sauna for you to sit in and experience the beneficial wellness effects – we can have it ready and waiting for you as it takes 25-30 minutes to reach the optimum recommended heat.
